Meet Peggy Kubitz
aka “Yoga Peggy!”
What led you to yoga? Stress led me to yoga. Stress and a twitching eye. Plus a decline in my balance and flexibility. In addition, I felt the need for a spiritual lift.
What is your favorite yoga pose? I had trouble with all of them when I first started, even child’s pose. As a result of the supportive guidance of my yogi master, all of the basic poses are in my practice, and I know how to adjust to others. I remember my exhilaration at being able to finally manage the happy baby pose! It’s a gradual process.
How has your yoga practice changetion, my eye stopped twitching!
What advice would you have someone who was considering taking a yoga class at Studio 225? The certified instructor will support you in every way. One of the things that really spoke to me at the beginning was, “Any amount.” It still resonates with me. It will truly help you become present in the moment and become more mindful and peaceful in your daily life. Stay the course. It takes time for gentle change to happen. This studio is especially accommodating to all levels of instruction. If you can breathe you can do yoga, is their mantra!
If you had an extra hour in your day, what would you do with it (besides yoga)? I would work on my bonsai trees, swim, write poetry, or walk in the woods.
