Meet Valerie

She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and completed her 200 hour RYT in 2015. She is a true believer in the power of mindful breathing and movement and is committed to this practice both on and off the mat. Her classes are designed to offer a combination of grounding, balance, and mindful flows of movement paired with breath to help students spend more time in the present moment and achieve more peace and harmony in their bodies and minds.

In addition to guiding yoga classes, Val is a K-12 administrator at North Adams-Jerome Public Schools.

Meet Brooke

Brooke's started teaching yoga in 2016 after completing her training through YogaFit. She believes greater self-awareness is where we start to become the best versions of ourselves both physically and mentally. In her yoga classes, she enjoys blending her occupational therapy background of functional movement and self regulation with mindful breathing and compassion to guide people towards a deeper personal awareness and mind-body connection. She lives by the idea that the mind and the body are constantly communicating and thus determining how we show up in our daily lives. Some days we may need more body based techniques while other days greater mental awareness can help us move through things easier. It’s not one before the other but rather together and this is the foundation of the yoga she practices and leads.

Outside of teaching yoga she writes for her lifestyle blog, enjoys fixing up her lake cottage and sews pieces for her home decor business.
